Elon Musk drops X-bomb: “Donald Trump is in the Epstein files”

The relationship between the US president and the businessman began to deteriorate rapidly after Musk harshly criticized Trump's tax reform , calling it a "repugnant abomination" due to its high spending and deficit-driven nature.

This prompted both figures to exchange strong statements on social media within minutes, culminating in Musk's latest accusation against the president.

On the afternoon of Thursday, June 5, President Donald Trump posted on social media. He questioned the money the Biden administration had provided to Musk's companies.

“The easiest way to save billions of dollars in our budget is to cancel Elon’s government subsidies and contracts . I was always surprised Biden didn’t do this! ” he said.

Immediately, Elon Musk used his personal X account to reveal that the president of the United States allegedly had a relationship with Jeffrey Eipstein , the financier accused of sexual trafficking of minors and who died in prison.

"It's time to drop the big bombshell . Donald Trump is in the Epstein files. That's the real reason they haven't been made public . Have a nice day," he said.

Tensions between the two escalated when Trump expressed his “great disappointment” in the businessman’s criticism , publicly acknowledging that his relationship with Musk may have come to an end.

Musk responded sharply, lamenting the president's "ingratitude" and recalling that his financial support was key to the Republican campaign: "Without me, Trump would have lost the election."

The distancing coincides with a drop in Musk's popularity, even in official circles, and a sharp decline in Tesla shares, affected by protests and the loss of subsidies for electric cars.
